Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep — A Forum Game
<img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/9/14692095_a6f13c70c0.jpg?v=0">
Never played before? Here's some praise for the game: Spoiler:
<ul>Rules<br> <li> The object of the game is to out-think everyone by picking answers to questions that are the most common (<FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">Sheep</font>) or least common (<FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">Reverse Sheep</font>), but still correct. <li> Example <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">Sheep</font> question: "Name a movie starring Sacha Baron Cohen." A good answer would be Borat and a bad answer might be Spyz. <li> Example <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">Reverse Sheep</font> question: "Name a movie with killer robots on Earth". Transformers might be a bad answer, but The Stepford Wives might be a good answer. (Unless everyone is trying to go as obscure as possible). <li> Sheep scores are tallied as negative numbers. Reverse Sheep scores are tallied as positive numbers. The lowest score wins. <li> The answers to each question are tallied up. Wrong answers in Reverse Sheep are scored two points above the most common answer. This penalty is multiplied by the Lightning Round Multiplier. Wrong answers in Sheep are not penalized. <li> Certain rounds are considered Lightning Rounds (designated by a multiplier, such as <b>×2</b>). In these rounds, scores are adjusted by the <u>number on the multiplier</u>. A wrong answer still gets a +4 penalty in a x2 round and a +6 penalty in a x3 round. In a sheep round, a wrong answer scores normally. <li> You may not cheat by using Google, Wikipedia, IMDB, etc. Use only what's in your head. <li> Please send in your answers to me via PM. Place only one answer per line, without numbers or the question itself. Those who do not do this will be penalized 7 points right off the bat. <li> For your convenience, <a href="http://www.fantasticdamage.com/blog/MoviesR1.xls">I've made an Excel file</a> where you can prepare your answers. When finished, just select the column of answers and send that in as text via PM. Don't email me the Excel file, that would be silly. (<a href="http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=r6XdV4Q49GOYN8Z5XJEqmiA">Google version here</a>). <li> Note: Unless specifically mentioned in the question, all "film" answers have to be theatrically released films, not straight-to-DVD releases, TV films, promotional films, TV episodes, etc. Foreign films are always OK as long as they fit the question. <li> Sheep questions are marked by an <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">S:</font>, Reverse Sheep questions are marked by an <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">R:</font>. <li> You have until at least Tuesday, June 23, at 9:00AM EDT to send in answers. You have at least until Tuesday, June 23, at 9:00AM EDT to send in answers. The game will begin sometime that week. Good luck! |

Bottom third or bust!

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep — A Forum Game
I know nobody's sent in answers yet, but please note that 27 is a Sheep question. I had it down as a Reverse Sheep question initially. Thanks.

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep — A Forum Game
I filled out my answers and sent them before seeing that 27 was sheep instead of reverse sheep, but seeing as how I could only remember one disaster film and it's very well known, I think that'll work out just fine. Nice job on putting yet another of these together Bus. That x5 on the last question could be a real killer.

While the question on the first line ("The Question") might look difficult, the answer space is already filled out with "The Answer", so presumably we'll all get the same number of points for that one.

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep — A Forum Game
Yo, I just sent in my answers. Then I read about the spreadsheet. That would have made it easier. WHOOPS.

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep — A Forum Game
This looks like fun. Not sure exactly how the game works, but the gist I get is for the Sheep questions, I want my answer to match the most people, and my non sheep answers to be correct, and not match anyones. Correct?

We had a surge of applicants but now everything is quiet. I'd like to get a dozen or so more entries, please.
