Blood: The Last Vampire (live-action)

I never cared for the animated movie nor the animated series that followed. However, I believe some here really liked both so this is for you:

Looks good except for the retarded running up invisible stairways from CTHD.
And was that a grown up version of the hybrid baby from V I saw in there?

Dialogue sounded terribly cheesy.

Hey, as long as it's got the Sassy Girl in it, I'll check it out.

That's pretty much par for the course for the original animated film, from which this one seems to be taking it cues. With only some tweaks here and there (and I presume a runtime that goes beyond 50 minutes), this looks like a beat for beat adaptation of the original animated movie.

So I'm guessing we'll get zero character development, little to no plot development, and some moderate action and gore. I know that may sound good for an action-centric movie but the animated film botched that equation royally and this live action remake seems to be following the same exact template. I dunno how but the animated movie managed to a boring action-centric movie.

Same here. I thought the series was much much worse than the movie though.

Re: Blood: The Last Vampire (live-action)

I was/am a HUGE fan of the original film but I've only seen one episode of the TV series. But even with one ep I could tell the serires strayed from the original story and overall "heavy" vibe of the film and went all "Generic Anime" on me.

All that said, that trailer looks pretty good to me. The girl playing the lead seems to have her down.

I saw the original movie. I remember thinking it was decent, if a little underdone and short. However I was pretty impressed visually back then. I don't remember the dialogue being great, but I don't remember it being THAT bad. I think the problem was the delivery. The accent plus the dialogue make for a really brutal combination.
