And while Clerks is perhaps my sixth or so favorite comedy and a very tough choice personally, it had no chance against the 3rd, 4th, and 5th best comedy of all-time, Groundhog Day.

#1 - Airplane easily, although I really like Stripes.
#2 - Abstain. Somehow both Dazed and Confused and The 40 Year Old Virgin remain in my unwatched pile.
#3 - Curse the randomizer for this match-up! Both are top ten all-time for me, but Monty Python and the Holy Grail wins. The final 20 minutes is a bit of a let down, but the first hour or so has the most consistent LOL and quotable humor in the history of film. The Princess Bride would probably finish second of this list for me.
#4 - Abstain. Love Rushmore, but for some stupid reason I keep putting off Dr. Strangelove.
#5 - Ghostbusters very easily here, although I like Animal House.
#6 - I've mentioned before how Mel Brooks is very hit or miss for me, mostly miss. Young Frankenstein is a huge hit though, and perhaps it is time for me to give Blazing Saddles another chance.
#7 - More curses at the randomizer! My four favorite films of this list are matched against each other. Groundhog Day has to get my vote though, as I can re-watch it often, and I have to be in the right mood to enjoy Clerks. Oddly, I'd put Clerks 2 on my worst films of all-time list.
#8 - I find Raising Arizona slightly overrated, but still fantastic, and a fairly easy pick over Fast Times.
