Okay here is the schedule for the rest of Round #1:
5/1 Horror #5: 9 Matchups
5/2 Comedy #6: 11 Matchups
5/3 Horror #6: 9 Matchups
5/4 Comedy #7 11 Matchups
5/5 Horror #7: 8 Matchups
That will close out Round #1 for both tournies and get them on equal footing for Round #2. Round #2 will be 4 groups of 8 Matchups for each tourney.

Slap Shot (Back to the Future is among the most Overrated films of all time.)
Mallrats (Easily)
Tootsie (Easily, Bonus points for having Bill Murray in a great small performance.)
Christmas Vacation (I dont consider Fear and Loathing a comedy per se so this wins.)
Bad Santa (I love me some TEam AMerica but Bad SAnta is mush more successful in what it does.)
My Cousin Vinny (Easily)
Hot Fuzz (Easily. However if this was up against the Philadelphia Story the choice would be harder.)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (easily)
Trading Places (easily)
Blues Brothers (easly)
Borat (Very hard choice but it does make me laugh more I think. I dunno after thinking about it though. Bill Murray is my favorite so I may be wrong.)
The 40-Year Old Virgin (easily)

I bet most haven't seen Bringing Up Baby but voted anyway. I, however, have seen both but still picked Hot Fuzz in anticipation of this reaction. ;)

I'd put it more on par with certain Schwarzenegger movies (Total Recall, True Lies, etc.) or the later Brosnan Bond movies, in that there are jokes and silly moments, but it's not really a comedy-based movie.

Then again, it has plenty of votes, so who am I to judge? :)

Slap Shot is infinitely funnier.

Had to abstain from most of the match-ups, as I don't go out of my way to watch mainstream comedy.

Like the more match-ups.

That's the problem with these type of polls. IMHO, if you haven't seen both titles, then you should abstain from that match-up.

I can't believe Christmas Vacation is crushing Fear and Loathing.

There are so many great lines from that movie. It's a classic.

Including one so good it was later stolen by Men at Work, though the exact wording was changed slightly: "Now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that."
