I would say that's a decent contender for greatest film ever. especially coming from the internet =) Thank god the Crow didnt win at least...

I like that Die Hard was the toughest competition it faced AND that both Godfather films fared better than A New Hope against it.

(Well, raw votes at least. I didn't look at the percentages.)

It's not "greatest film"... it's your "favorite" film, i.e. an entertaining film that you put in to relax and enjoy seeing. Not the best-made or greatest film.

Compared to all the other great movies that it beat out, it's very sad....
Don't get me wrong, Empire Strikes Back is good but it's not even close to being the best.

I don't care that much for Empire, but I can see why it would end up being the majority's favorite movie here. I don't see why it's sad. I'm sure whatever is your favorite wouldn't be shared by others here.
