Saw V

Anyone excited for this? I thought saw 1-4 were great but this one doesn't look that great from the commercials. There are no reviews on rottentomatoes.com so I'm assuming they're not letting anyone review it?

Did we ever get a full length trailer for this? I just started seeing commericals on TV recently, but other then what I thought was a teaser I don't think i've seen much.

As usual, Meagan Good will make me watch anything she's in.

Damn her.

I'm in. I'm a whore for both the Saw franchise (except the awful Saw III) and surprise endings, so the new "you won't believe how it ends" commercial earned my $6.50. I really enjoyed Saw IV anyway, so it gives me a reason to watch that tomorrow night as well.

I'm really pumped. It really isnt Halloween without a new Saw film. The lack of a full length trailer or any really details is odd, but I like the idea of going into it completely out of the know.

I'm pretty sure they're already working on Saw 6 for next year

Lionsgate doesn't want the press around a "Saw" film.

The press are going to skewer it anyway, just like the previous 4. Won't really matter, since people are going to see these anyway.

Coming soon: Saw XXXVIII.

Spoiler:
An obscure allusion to one of Airplane II's sole funny jokes.

I myself want a Rocky VII so the now jacked sexagenarian Stallone can finally put the characters in these damn movies to rest.

Alternately, I hope that by Saw VI or VII the movie ends with Bob Newhart waking up from a bad, sushi-induced nightmare and the whole thing was a damn dream.

I'd normally wait for this to come out on DVD but I heard the trailer for the new Friday the 13th movie will play so that's the main reason I'm going.

A lot of movies don't do press screenings if they know reviews are going to be negative. Thus far, there are two negative reviews for Saw V on rottentomatoes.

For reference sake, here are how the other 4 fared:

Saw: 46% "Fresh", 72 Positive Reviews, 84 Negative Reviews
Saw II: 36% "Fresh", 40 Positive Reviews, 72 Negative Reviews
Saw III: 26% "Fresh", 20 Positive Reviews, 58 Negative Reviews
Saw IV: 18% "Fresh", 12 Positive Reviews, 54 Negative Reviews

Actually, the two posted aren't really reviews.

I wonder if they'll ever stop? Even the Friday the 13th's weren't coming out every single year.

I have throughly enjoyed each of these movies. What other series has brought us a decent horror movie each year around Halloween?

I like the fact that I have only seen one clip. I'll be seeing this asap.

Hey, that's pretty interesting. It drops by about 10 percent with each film. This movie should have between 8-10 percent positive (total) if it stays on course with that.

Yeah, it's kind of refreshing to know that tomorrow I'll be seeing this and so far have seen less than 60 seconds worth of actual footage...that almost NEVER happens.

Definitely... This makes me that much more excited as well.
