I saw the movie reviewed on At the Movies tonight. They didn't like it and also said that people weren't regular audiences weren't laughing in the theaters they saw it in.

Really liked it, I wish it had more action but it was funny as hell. A sequel would be nice....

Saw this tonight. My buddy and I both agreed that Tracy Morgan was hilarious, but that's about the extent of our liking it. The story just dragged on and on and was pretty stupid, honestly. So many random plot elements that just came and went. Very underwhelming.

Tracy Morgan ruined this flick for me. Bit parts in flicks he's ok. (IE dope dealer in JSBSB "I dont know what the fuck you just said..." that one made me chuckle) But goddamn. I cant take him at all. People think the interrogation was hilarious. I bet it would be if Morgan wasnt channeling MushMouth all the time. Willis seemed bored most of the time. I fell asleep in the theater near the end. Movie sucks plain and simple. Kev , love ya like I do (yes Jersey Girl, I do love you. Z&M too.) but its just not a good film. Bad casting.

/\ I thought the score would have been better served had Smith better embraced an 80s aesthetic to the film.

Was that his goal!? To do a retro cop comedy film? Didn't know that before now. Makes better sense. Still, the music was unbearable. This is two for two recent 80's throwback movies that failed miserably for me. The others was "The Expendables".

hello? That was Harold Falterymeyer of Beverly Hills Cop "Axel F" fame. The score was intentional and yeah, it seems Smith was going for the 80s vibe but didn't quite push it far enough.

Yeah, I guess Smith made a mistake thinking people would recognize Harold Faltermeyer. I loved the score. And it links back in style much more to Kevin's beloved Fletch.

The film was pretty dull and in the end I think it was a mistake for Smith to direct another writer's work.

Smith should really check out "The Other Guys" for an example of how to do a buddy-cop comedy right.

Finally got around to seeing this the other night and I thought it wasn't too bad. Tracey Morgan is not nearly as annoying as he usually is and he had decent chemistry with Willis. 2.5 out of four dancing bananas.

Re: Cop Out (Dir. Kevin Smith) Starring Bruce Willis And Tracey Morgan!!!

I tried to get through this the other night, and we both thought it was awful. I guess I didn't get the 80's cop music intention, because to me it sounded like Smith put his daughter on Garage Band and told her to go nuts...and then used it as the soundtrack. Awful.

I made it about half way through, and then turned it off. The trend continues...I haven't liked a Smith movie since Dogma...
