I know it's unorthodox to bump a five-year old thread, but for anyone who uses Letterboxd, I've recreated this list over there (it's here). I wish I could have recreated it on iCheckMovies, but I only have a free account and have already created my allotted one custom list.

No Back To The Future Part 3? That list is really a joke!

Professor Sir Christopher Frayling calls it a Western, so I'm kind of willing to go with it. Then again, I think Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is basically a remake of Shane, so what do I know ?

A lot of Eastwood westerns are not on the list. Joe Kidd, Two Mules for Sister Sara, High Plains Drifter. Can't find Pale Rider. I remember renting that movie in the 80s so many times. Posse? lol If you are going to include dreck like that, you might as well add Bad Girls. haha
The Assassination of Jesse James is a well done recent western that should have made the list. It would be fun to go through and watch all the films on the list in order. But I would have to skip Dead Man. Gosh I hated that movie. I'm looking forward to the Red River criterion this year as well.

Where's The Lone Ranger? I don't think these people would know a good Western if it bit them on the ass.
