The Road.

1.AVATAR
2.Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
3.Terminator Salvation
4.Wolverine
5.My Bloody Valentine 3D

BullGooseLoony 12-28-08 11:08 PM

Transformers 2, maybe because I haven't actually seen any footage of it yet. Terminator: Salavation looks clearly inspired by Transformers, Wolverine could go either way, I never read Watchmen so my anticipation is only so-so, and there's not much else.

DarthVong 12-28-08 11:10 PM

T4
Friday the 13th remake
H2
Watchmen
Bloody Valentine 3D
Wolverine

LickTheABCs 12-28-08 11:43 PM

Pretty much everything I'm looking forward to has already been mentioned.

dugan 12-29-08 01:17 AM

Transformers 2
Terminator 4
Coraline
The Uninvited

Two possible Ghibli releases:
Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
Tales from Earthsea

Something tells me our "Worst Films of 2009" and "Biggest Disappointments of 2009" threads will look exactly like this one.

Yes. Yes. I agree. These two are my must sees.

Chew 12-29-08 02:14 PM

Star Trek
Watchmen

I also have to add Public Enemies because a lot of it was filmed close to where I live.

Giles 12-29-08 02:33 PM

Where the Wild Things Are
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Final Destination 4 (in 3D)
Samsara
Avatar
Fame

sadly 'Tales' is very... very disappointing.

riley_dude 12-29-08 02:40 PM

I would like to add Time Traveler's Wife. That is, if it ever comes out.

Mr. Cinema 12-29-08 03:27 PM

1. The Wolf Man
2. Public Enemies

auto 12-29-08 03:52 PM

Inglorious Basterds & Watchmen easily top the list.

Has anyone found a good explanation of why Tarantino is intentionally misspelling "bastards" in his movie title? Weird.

Watchmen is really the only thing on my radar, but I don't generally follow movies too far out from their release.

Travis McClain 12-30-08 11:19 AM

Right now, the only thing I'm excited about is seeing Leonard Nimoy as Spock again. I'm only so-so on even the rest of that film. I'll go see G.I. Joe even though early word has been bad, Wolverine 'cause I like what Hugh Jackman has done with the role and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen because I'm obligated by my oath to geekhood. I'm interested in the next Judd Apatow flick not because the premise (which I've already forgotten) interests me, but because I like his little troupe. Also, I'm curious about both forthcoming Sherlock Holmes films (Downey and Ferrell), though I may not make out to see either in their theatrical release.

Friday the 13th remake hands down.

Cosmic Bus 12-31-08 10:51 AM

Even though I've been unsure from the beginning about how it'll turn out, I'm still looking forward to I Come With the Rain more than anything.

Sessa17 12-31-08 04:40 PM

After just watching the redband trailer.

Crank 2: Even Crankier definitely needs to be added to my list. I need to see this now.

Raul3 01-01-09 01:12 AM

I saw the trailer for Taken and really liked it.

And yeah, whatever Tarantino is releasing.

It is.

Oh, and some not mentioned that I'm looking forward to are: The Lovely Bones (haven't read the book, but it's Peter Jackson), Shutter Island (the new Scorsese/DiCaprio flick), Whiteout (I liked the Novel, plus Kate Beckinsale is in it), Bruno (no explanation needed) and Final Destination 4 and Piranha 3-D.

Ronnie Dobbs 01-01-09 10:36 AM

Bruno looks like it'll be good too.
