Paul Blart - Mall Cop

I don't know but I find the trailer quite hilarious lol

http://www.paulblartmallcop.com/

I like him as an actor I find him funny. But this movie reminds me of sillyness like "Nothing to lose" or "Naked Gun" series.

I've seen those "behind the scenes" features of this one before the trailers start at the theaters, and eh. I don't like Kevin James so I'll be passing. Looks cheesy.

Don't like Kevin James, either. An easy pass after watching the trailer.

You know what? I like Kevin James, but I really don't think he belongs on the big screen. His stand-up is hilarious, and the episodes of King of Queens I've seen are alright, but every one of his movies are terrible.

I like Kevin James too. King of Queens is guilty pleasure of mine. This movie looks pretty bad but just like I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, I'll probably end up catching this on HBO some time down the road and get a few ha ha's out of it.

Observe and Report will clearly be the superior mall-cop movie of 2009.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

Saw this movie today. My daughter works at the theater so we get in free. You know it actually wasn't bad. That's not to say it was a good movie but it did have it's moments. I equate this movie to House Bunny with Anna Farris. Mall Cop is 90 minutes of fat jokes and Kevin James wanting to be a real police officer. House Bunny is 90 minutes of sex jokes and Anna Farris wanting to be a Playboy Bunny. They surround the lead character with a few people to interact with and a little turmoil and the strength and charisma of the lead is what carries the movie. If you don't like Kevin James you won't like the movie. If you do you probably will. C

My girlfriend made me see this. I made her see Valkryie with me in return. Anyway I couldn't believe I was watching this on the big screen and not out of the $5 movie bin at Wal-mart.

This would not have been my first choice if I was paying. Free makes everything better.

I was mad the night they wanted to see Four Christmases. Even with the 2 free tickets it still cost me $17.50 for the 2 I had to pay for and a week later the movie was at the dollar theater.

The "fuck" in question is probably the $100m gross it'll end up taking in domestically. That virtually guarantees almost any piece of shit a sequel.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

I thought the first half of this was fairly funny but the last half was completely devoid of laughs and the extreme sport criminals killed the movie for me... just weak... could have been a harmless fun little comedy but misses the mark in when the lame plot kicks in.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

It was only a matter of time before Kevin James portayed an overweight mall cop who wittingly takes on a gang of organized criminals who are holding hostages inside of the mall. I haven't seen the movie but it's either going to make a big splash or be a belly flop! Being that these have the same result I guess I'll have to watch it.

It's currently the #1 Movie of 2009 and has nearly raked in $100,000,000.

I'm thinking that would be considered a big splash.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

I didn't know the movie has made that much, but doesn't surprise me being that it stars Kevin James: First, King of Queens, now King of the Movies!

The best part is that the gang of criminals are experts in extreme sports. The bad guy on the skateboard made me think this movie should have came out in 1993.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

I got dragged to see this yesterday. It was OK, but definitely a rental only. Funniest part of the entire movie was unintentional. One of the extreme criminals goes into Champs and picks up an aluminum bat. Some kid in the crowd goes, "Oh shit! He's gonna go Genghis Khan on his ass!"

I made a complete ass out of myself by laughing the last 20 minutes of the movie over that damn comment.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

Is it true that they are making a Mall Cop 2? Kevin James is one of my favorite actors. I love his comedic roles in "King of Queens" and then Hitch. I will probably rent this one.

Nah I think cause people are tired of Jim Carrey already or because being there is a recession, people need some comedy to watch. This movie is still making money lots of families are seeing it from what my sister told me down in Florida.

I didn't think it would be that big, and yes I'm sure there will be a sequel.

Saw this tonight. It's definitely not a good movie but it had some amusing moments. It's the type of movie I'd probably wind up watching a ton on cable.

Re: Paul Blart - Mall Cop

Bump I decided to Watch this on Netflix Instant watch, and watched it on the computer while I did some work toniht and I thought it was pretty entertaining. It was great but Kevin James was pretty good in it. Though this is one movie where the bad guys are too silly and arent menacing or anything. But not bad, I was expecting this movie to be really awful.
