Benjamin Button.

I will be catching most of the 2008 films I still need to see before Christmas (Gran Torino, Frost / Nixon, Let The Right One In and JCVD) before Christmas.

Gran Torino if I can find it in a theater near me. If not, then The Spirit and Benjamin Button for sure.

On Christmas night my family always goes to see It's A Wonderful Life at our city's historic Byrd Theatre. The seats there are extremely uncomfortable*, but it's a good time. Great movie, sing-along with the organ, the girls that work the concession stand...

Plus, this year my brother and sister-and-law are getting remarried there right before the show. So, that's the movie (and experience) that I'm looking forward to most this Christmas.

I'd like to see Benjamin Button and Valkyrie, but I'll wait a while.

*Once I win the lottery, the Byrd is the first place I'll be donating money to.

Benjamin - mostly because I got turned away from an advanced screening 3 weeks ago and have really been dying to see it since (I was looking forward to it since the summer anyhow, but these last 3 weeks have sucked)

Valkyrie

I'm also VERY interested in seeing Gran Torino, but I don't think it will be playing near me until it opens for it's wide release.

Gran Torino. However, my interest in Benjamin Button is growing. No real interest in the others listed, although I will likely see them all eventually through DVD rental.

I've already made plans to see Marley & Me, so I am definitely seeing that on Christmas Day. Even though
Spoiler:
THE DOG DIES OMG

However, I want to see Button, Torino, Doubt, Bashir, Valkyrie, Spirit, etc.

Benjamin Button.

Also, The Wrestler comes out on Christmas day in my area (Christmas day or Boxing day... I can't remember...). The fiance and I may go for a double-feature.

If that happens, then I won't take the better half to see that lol. She hates seeing dogs dying in movies.

Isn't that a unwritten rule? You don't kill dogs in movies.

To be honest, I wanted to see The Spirit, but a friend whom I trust with these things (and who is a far more dedicated comic geek and Miller fan than I) is actually trying to steer our group clear of it. I have Crohn's disease, so there is absolutely no way I'm going to see Benjamin Button and its 167 minute run time. My wife wants to see Bedtime Stories and Valkyrie, though I don't know how much support either of those will get with our group. Maybe I'll blow it all off and just go see Quantum of Solace again and see if I can follow the fight scenes this time.
