Another Cinderella Story
 

Tease me all you want, but I adore dancing movies. Step Up 2? Loved it. Save the Last Dance? Yessss. And now, Selena Gomez is starring as Cinderella in Another Cinderella Story. It's Cinderella meets dance. AH!! In all seriousness, I do love dance movies and I really enjoyed the original Cinderella Story with Hillary Duff, so I think it'll be awesome.

Anyone else excited? They had posters up in the mall the other day. Got me giddy, haha.

I thought they already made like 500 direct-to-video sequels for that Hilary Duff movie.

Is that about me, popcorn? Haha, I actually am. I just really enjoy the dance themes in movies. I am severely challenged in the rhythm department, but have always really taken a liking to watching dance.

Plus, I've heard that Selena Gomez can actually perform, so that's why I added this one to my list. People are talking her up to be the next Britney, and I'd really like to see what she can do.

Coincidentally I just watched this last night, and I had seen the mall posters as well (ABC Family in January). I like dance movies too, and I've seen the Hilary Duff version and a lot of tween movies, but this was no High School Musical. The main characters were likable but the plot was too conventional in the way it followed the Cinderella story line and the dancing wasn't that great.

I always loved the romanticism of the Cinderella storyline (even though slightly predictable), so I think I am still going to watch, but thanks for the review David!!

What did you think of the singing? I've heard both stars are doing their own vocal parts, which I absolutely love. I like seeing films take that risk...ever since Moulin Rouge, I'm convinced there is no need to look outside of your actors for that talent...especially with so many multi-talented people in entertainment nowadays.
