IMO, it's been a light year for film. I'm not including movies seen early in 2009 if they were part of the 2008 Academy Award list.
Of what I have seen, the only ones I like are:
1) Inglourious Basterds
2) Drag Me to Hell
3) Zombieland
4) Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
5) Star Trek
I have high hopes for "Avatar" and "Nine".
