The thing is, Robin doesn't have to be a bad character. He could be done well, but you can't have him in Nolan's universe anytime soon because Bruce Wayne/Batman is still very young and growing. You need Robin to enter when Batman is a little older and more experienced. That being said, I'd much prefer if years from now Christian Bale plays a much more older Batman that is going to retire and then introduce Terry McGinnis/Batman II.

This is a good point. I can't tell you how many older Bond fans I talked to before Casino Royale came out that apparently never read the Ian Fleming novels, because they were convinced that it would be a remake of the 1967 spoof film. Just because we're used to a certain character being interpreted and/or presented a certain way doesn't mean every incarnation has to be that way. I mean, who would have thought we'd go along with a Scarecrow that's nothing more than a guy in a business suit and a burlap sack on his head?
As for the other thoughts, Bale will likely never come back to the Bat-universe after his series is finished (hopefully at least one more film down the line), Beyond is fine as part of the Bruce Timm animated DCU, but isn't compelling enough to exist outside of that, and despite the success of 300 and Sin City (and the expected success of Watchmen), not every great comic story needs to be recreated as a film.

TV Guide Channel also ran a tease about Eddie Murphy as the Riddler ... I couldn't bear to watch to see what they had to say.

The title is a clever play on the fact that adam west and michael keaton play the batmen from earth-1 and earth-a respectively and join with bale's batman to stop maxie zeus and hugo strange from doing stuff.

I still wonder what Star Trek 4 would have been like with Eddie.

I can't stand seeing this thread. This type of thread would exist in the mid-90s, not now...

The David Tennant rumor makes more sense than this one.

Superman III was actually one of the big reasons it didn't happen.
But we still got Christian Slater in Star Trek VI. ;)
