Batman Returns. I love the twist Burton put on the Penguin which suited his and Devito's styles perfectly. Still like Keaton's performance of Bruce Wayne in Returns more than any other in a film.

Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice with the former just edging to the top spot for me. Ed Wood is a close third.

Ed Wood is my favorite but I watch Sleepy Hollow every year around Halloween. I never get tired of either one.

SLEEPY HOLLOW is a near-perfect gothic horror/fantasy updating classic Hammer horror film conventions. It is also his best film from a story perspective, as Burton loves to ignore narrative requirements in favor of visual splendor.

For me, it's Batman Returns, followed by Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd. But I like all of his films except for Planet of the Apes.

Haven't seen Big Fish, and it's been many years since I've seen Scissorhands and Beetlejuce (I can only think of that wonderful black dawrf from Howard Stern when I hear the name now.)

I went with Ed Wood.

I'm the only one so far who's voted for Mars Attacks!. I admit it's not a great movie but there are so many hilarious moments and the sheer size of the all-star cast makes it a favorite of mine.

Ed Wood, followed by Big Fish and Edward Scissorhands. And I know he didn't direct it, but Nightmare Before Christmas is totally his baby and I love it to death.

Voted for PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE, although I think his best was ED WOOD.

I've been a huge fan of his up until MARS ATTACKS! which was a bit of a let down for me (but I appreciated that film later on in life when I 'got' the campy 50's B-movie angle). SLEEPY HOLLOW was my last favorite film of his and he seemed to have lost his way since, IMHO.

But SWEENEY TODD was a real comeback for me and I really hope ALICE IN WONDERLAND works out. I really enjoy his Hammer Horror inspired production design with SLEEPY and SWEENEY which seems to be continuing in ALICE from the photos I've seen online.

Batman for me, followed very closely by Sleepy Hollow.
I am actually surprised for the love being shown for Sleepy Hollow, as I thought us fans were few and far between.

Big Fish and Edward Scissor hands and Nightmare Before Christmas for the tie.

I really think Big Fish doesn't get enough praise.

Why isn't Nightmare Before Christmas on there or Corpse Bride?

Big Fish. Several movies will bring a lump to my throat, but this is the only one that will move me to tears every single time I watch it. If a film can do that, it must be doing something right.

I still have yet to see Sweeney Todd and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This is a tough one as I've enjoyed almost everything Tim Burton has done and he's one of those directors that grabs my interest everytime I hear they are working on something.

I think his best work was Sweeny Todd. It was a very well done film.

However, Edward Scissorhands is just a special movie and remains one of my favorite films to date. So I voted for that.

What was it that wowed you?
During the 80's INDIANA JONES movies, E.T., SUPERMAN2, STAR TREK 2 and ROBOCOP wowed me. This movie was just hype in 1989.
