Nope. In the book they're pretty standard Romero zombies, just on a global scale.

Ugh. I hate it already. Even more so if it turns into an I Am Legend, with lousy looking CGI zombies.

Re: World War Z

I think it looks good. I like a unique spin on the zombie genre, so the horde stuff doesn't bother me in the least. I also hated the book, so I'm glad it's something different than that.

Re: World War Z

Yikes. It looks like the I Am Legend prequel. I'll still see it, because I like Pitt, but I'll be seeing it at a matinee...senior priced.

Those zombie waterfalls look awful.

Re: World War Z

Tsuzombie? It's like a tidal wave.

Definitely got a "prequel-we-didn't-need-to-I Am Legend" vibe from it.

Re: World War Z

After seeing the latest episode of The Walking Dead, this doesn't look appealing at all. But should make for a great blu ray release.

Re: World War Z

Yeah the source material is mind numbingly boring so they had to do something to spruce it up...

Re: World War Z

Brad Pitt just seems out of place in this. I liked the book but this doesn't look like it'll be a good adaptation.

Re: World War Z

I like pretty much everything except for the zombie stuff. Had they been the slow-walking, non-herding, non-waterfall forming zombies I think this would look much better.

I'm going against the grain here to say this looks decent.

I agree. People making assumptions about a movie just because a 2min/27sec trailer doesn't rock their boat is presumptious.

this looks like the French zombie movie 'The Horde' but with a bigger budget.

Re: World War Z

While reading the book a few years ago, I thought that it seemed unfilmable. Hearing that it was being given a big budget, I hoped that I was wrong. That trailer tells me how right I was. I've accepted running zombies, I've accepted swarming zombies, but I will never accept billowing zombies.

Re: World War Z

So when you become a zombie you're as fast and athletic as Carl Lewis? WTF?

Not in the book which I though was fascinating.

But if they were slower zombies wouldn't it be easier to stop the spread?

Just wondering. Would a cinema ticket be cheaper or more expensive then the bluray?

Brad Pitt married to the ugliest woman to ever appear on AMC? Well if they say so...

The replies after the trailer are hilarious! Thanks for the laughs!

That is what immediately turns me off. That looks so silly. When they kept showing it over and over I couldn't help but laugh.
