Hey! Jack of All Trades might not be up to the standards of The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. but it's still a great show!

I'm watching this movie right now and it is a piece of shit. I'm glad I wasn't able to find a copy locally on Blu-Ray as it saved me some cash. There is no way that I would watch this movie more than once.

I liked it. Though I got my picture taken with him a few years back, so maybe i'm biased.

That's not true.

I'm a huge fan of The Chin and I was bored by it.

Are you sure you are that much of a Bruce Campbell fan? j/k
The script was pretty cleaver & any die hard fan should really dig it.
Bruce Campbell was in top form for this film, one of his best performances in awhile.
The supporting cast was what hurt the film for me, I understand if that's why.
Besides that it was exactly how I expected it to be....

I am a Bruce Campbell fan but this movie made me start second guessing what it is I like about him. It isn't the worst movie ever made but it should have been better coming from him. At some points in the movie I simply cringed because of what Bruce was doing on the screen. And that song they kept singing was embarrasing just to watch on tv. It didn't help that most of the secondary actors could probably suck asses better than they can act.

I thought the exact opposite. I think the script thought it was clever, but wasn't.

Are you sure you are that much of a Bruce Campbell fan?
Dude, I sat through both Menno's Mind AND Icebreaker. Yeah, I think I qualify.

He's made worse movies than that & I actually liked Icebreaker for what it was.

Re: MY NAME IS BRUCE (Bruce "MuthaF***in" Campbell) (2-10-09)

It wasn't an instant classic (Hollywood poking fun at itself is dead IMO), but I found it pleasant enough to watch and there were a handful of good one-liners.

I ripped this movie a new one earlier in the thread and LOVE Campbell (met him, own Jack of All Trades on dvd, have seen most of his lesser titles like Alien Apocalypse etc.) so I'm sure that being a fan doesn't mean everyone will like it.

The movie was ok. I wasn't super-impressed, but it was a decent enough time.

Re: MY NAME IS BRUCE (Bruce "MuthaF***in" Campbell) (2-10-09)

Watched the (terrible looking) BD at my friend's last night. What a total piece of shit. You'd have to be one of those pathetic fanboys who would eat Campbell's excrement to enjoy this. Completely self-absorbed project from the first frame, and not in an amusing way.

Campbell is good when he's being told what to do/say on screen. Campbell is bad when he's given free reign.

Re: MY NAME IS BRUCE (Bruce "MuthaF***in" Campbell) (2-10-09)

Bruce's decision to direct was probably the biggest problem. Of course, a weak script and some very bad actors didn't help any. I really wanted to like this movie, especially with such a fun concept. What might have been charming (Bruce using old friends, not choreographing stunts properly, etc.), actually works against this movie.

I'm a fan, and saying you are not a fan if you don't like this reminds me of the hardcore Kevin Smith fans who will cry if you don't like everything he releases.

There were some decent one liners in the film, but that does not make a good script. Haven't we seen enough references to Brokeback Mountain and Asian caricatures that can't speak proper English.

I watched it today. Didn't think it was anything great, but not as horrible as some people are making it out to be.

I grabbed this movie as soon as the DVD hit the stores and I loved it. Even the special features were done with silly twist.

I liked it. I can see how you have to like his stuff to "get it" but even then it won't be for everyone including his fans. Worth a watch though IMHO.
