I avoided anything that contained the words directed by Michael Bay.

Hey Larry, check out the films of Daisuke Yamanouchi. He seems your type.

Yes. Red Room is hilarious. Red Room 2 on the other hand...

EDIT: Blood Sisters and Mu zan E are pretty funny also. But definitely start with the first Red Room flick.

Is that the one that Tony Kaye (American History X) directed? If so, I have it in my Queue. It's pretty far down due to the fact it's a 2 hour 30 minute long documentary on Abortion.

Oh look, another post by me.

If you want to see a good documentary check out "Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist".. Definitely worthy of a viewing.

They pretty much are, but there is some comedy to be had. Like a torture-by-blow-dryer scene that is downright just funny. Plus, there's urine. Lots of urine. So if you like urine, urine for a treat (sorry, couldn't help myself)..

I blame JJ Abrams (who helped write the movie) more than Michael Bay for that steaming pile

Late to the game ... Thanks for the link to the Snuff documentary though!

I'm surprised people think Irreversible is more disturbing than I Stand Alone. Irreversible is definitely more grueling, and a great movie - beautiful even - while the subject matter of I Stand Alone is so F-ed up and wrong it just makes me heartsick to think about it.

Back when Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer came out I saw it in a theater and walked around the neighborhood for an hour in a daze before I could go home.

Not movies per se, but Something Weird DVDs of those '50s 'Driver's Ed' films definitely made me feel ashamed after watching. And a mondo collection, I think called Shocking Asia (further research indicates this was probably Faces Of Gore 3 - absolutely disgusting stuff), with aftermath pics of car-crash victims and stuff (one dude who had been taken apart by an elevator) was the worst thing I ever paid to watch for 'entertainment.' Shredded bodies minus bone structure become like bloody lace ...

Some of those "Bonus shorts" found on those SWV DVDs are surprisingly sick. Like that graphic, authentic Venerial Disease short found on Damaged Goods/The Hard Road and a very odd "Celebration of the Penis" featurette found on The Amazing Transplant. I didn't make it past a minute into that because for a moment there, I felt like I was watching child pornography.

I honestly feel that movie is still one of the most disturbing movies ever made.

Michael Rooker completely nails the role as Henry.

Pink Flamingos makes me feel like taking a shower after watching it.

The animal killing stuff in Cannibal Holocaust makes me cringe. Especially the turtle hacking and the monkey face chopping.

Don't think I noticed this one mentioned yet ... Bloodsucking Freaks! That's like the Citizen Kane of 'why did I want to watch this?' movies (in a nominally good way, of course) but IIRC the intent behind that movie was to make you feel ashamed for watching it.

I'd rather sit through Irreversible 4 more times, with my mother, than watch the Home Invasion scene from the first Henry.

I kinda liked Henry 2 too. I mean, it's OK. Neil Giuntoli is NO Rooker, though.

The sheer, unabashed glee with which Ralphus the dwarf goes about his sadomasochistic business is truly inspiring. The actor, Luis De Jesus, also appeared in porn and was an Ewok in Return of the Jedi.

Well just finished "I Stand Alone" good flick it doesn't compare to Irreversabile in any way. All I can say is that dude really needed a hug!!!

A number of years ago I went to an industry screening of "ILSA, SHE-WOLF OF THE SS", and Al Goldstein (publisher/editor of SCREW and host of the cable porn show Midnight Blue) walked out half-way through - even HE couldn't stomach it.

Agreed. Not to take away from Irreversible's brutality, but Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer is dirty, depraved, depressing and overall a revolting film. That final shot always creeps me out.

Then again I own both films, love both films and believe both films are fantastic.

I'm jealous. I would love to see Ilsa in a theater.

I remember when I first bought Anchor Bay's Ilsa box set, my girlfriend and I watched "She Wolf Of The SS". She laughed at how immensely cheesy the movie could be

While I like both films, that rape in Irreversible is brutal.
I saw it in the movies and was squirming in my seat.
Also, I have never seen a movie theater clear out so fast.

I agree with you.

I was exhausted after watching Irreversible. It pretty much had me off balance from the beginning of the movie with the main character running through the club and what happened once he found who he was looking for. Between the content of that scene and the way it was shot, it was like a kick in the gut. Then when the rape scene happened later on I could barely finish the movie.
