If you had asked me when I was 10, I wouold have said The Goonies easily.

As a horror fan I want to say The Omen, but my favorite of his is probably Lethal Weapon. The first film is so raw, intense and a perfect blueprint for how 80's action films should be handled.

I voted Lethal Weapon. On top of Mel and Danny, it has a great performance by Busey as Mr. Joshua.

It's only flaw is that horrendous song during the end credits by Michael Kamen.

Superman, IMO, is highly overrated. Comedic Hackman and Beatty really take everything away from a good performance by Reeves.

Goonies is the only movie that i could watch over and over and over again. Like his other films but not as much as them goobers.

Richard Donner has a very pedestrian filmography.

Granted he made some big films that made a lot of money at the boxoffice, he's never been considered a great director.

That said, Superman is my choice.
