the ALIENS. Which made no logical sense and were pretty embarrassing.

For me, the Aliens. Yeah they're more realistic then the religious artifacts, but they just felt out of place. The other things would have been more tolerable if there was a better payoff at the end, but the movie ending the way it did just left a sour taste.

I enjoyed the whole movie except for Tarzan Shia. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?

Believe it or not, the prairie dogs, which is actually good. Since they were at the beginning of the movie it was easier to accept everything that came after.

I think Tarzan Shia is going to win by a landslide... the only thing in this movie that pissed me off... the rest I can handle.

I don't why Spielberg didn't have E.T. or CEOT3K,WAR OF THE WORLDS aliens at the end if he was going this way. It would have been a nice surprise.

CGI still looks like, well, CGI... sort of how old bluescreen really looked obvious at the time. That being said, I too picked Tarzan Shia.

In a nutshell, I think that the worst thing about this movie is that Indiana Jones became a superhero, which is exactly what he wasn't in Radiers-- and one reason why Raiders is a great movie.

Aliens.

Most of my gripes with the film were scene-specific. The aliens were the nucleus of the entire plot, so they win by that fact alone.

How about this one: You have a magnet in a box that is soooo powerful that you can throw shotgun pellets in the air from a great distance, and those pellets get pulled to the magnet. BUT when you carry the super magnet the rifles slung over your back are not at all attracted to the magnet.

Alternately, not having the ghosts of Marcus Brody and Henry Jones Sr. in the back of the church.

EDIT: Didn't realize "Tarzan Shia" was a choice. Don't have a problem with HIM, but the CGI monkeys put me into a dizzying rage.

I rest my case.

Also:

MAC sucks. He's a second-rate Sallah. What's the point of having MAC in the plot anyway?

Why couldn't David Koepp just replace MAC with Sallah? Isn't John Rhys-Davies available?

I can't remember a single cue from the score that didn't come from a previous Indiana Jones film. John Williams dropped the ball, too.

I picked other because the movie failed based on several of the items listed. Taken individually it probably would have been acceptable but when the hits just keep coming even Indiana Jones can't succeed.

The cinematography was terrible, many scenes looked like they were fake or green screen or something.

The score was really disappointing.

Mac was a waste of space and didn't make much sense, the spot easily could have gone to Sallah and if they stuck with the betrayal, it would have meant much more.

Aliens....why'd it have to be aliens?

And Tarzan Shia....everyone knows that just had to be Lucas' input. He has a history of that kind of crap. Tarzan Chewie anyone?

I don't know if it was the new cinematographer to the series or over manipulation in post, but the flat, washed out look of several scenes bothered me more than Aliens or Tarzan.

I also didn't really care for the jungle setting. It made a movie that already spent way too much time on a soundstage feel even smaller, more claustrophobic than it needed to.

All gripes aside, I like the movie a whole lot more upon second viewing, warts and all.
