Best Vietnam Doc.?
I am looking for a Vietnam documentary without the left anti-war slant.
My nephew wants to learn more about the conflict but I want him to get the straight story. I saw one a few years back that was atleast 5-6 hours long, might have been HC, not sure. |
I prefer docs like In the Year of the Pig and Hearts and Minds, but I think Vietnam - A Television History may be what you're looking for, or perhaps even the History Channel's The Vietnam War.

Thx, I will check those out. If I can find a good deal on that HC one, I will probably get that.
|
Definitely check out Hearts and Minds. Amazing film.

Hearts & Minds

Not exclusively about Vietnam, but Errol Morris' The Fog of War is essential viewing.
|
Has anyone seen the 6 hour history channel doc? I heard it was good but really want to make sure there are just facts, and no political slant.
|
You might also consider "Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam".
