I don't think I ever saw a movie in theaters that I hated but some of the weakest movies I remember seeing in theaters were:
A.I. Artificial Intelligence - One of the most boring movies I ever experienced. I don't even remember much about it
The Break-Up - I chose this over X Men The Last Stand. What was I thinking? (Though I rented XMTLS later on and I could not get through it.)
Spider-Man 3 - Very Disappointing. The whole movie seemed rushed and dragged on too much.
Shrek the Third - Easily the worst of the trilogy. The jokes were lame and painfully unfunny and the story was pretty stupid.
War of the Worlds - This was pretty boring. It just did not hold my interest much.

A.I. wasn't great but it wasn't the worst. I'm also not counting Battlefield Earth and Waterworld, both of which I went to see on purpose, knowing they were bad.
The winner, hands-down, is Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2. I wanted to walk out about 30 seconds into it. You could just tell it was going to be atrocious.
That's saying something since I saw Wagons East! in theatres.

Toss up between The First Wives Club and Liar, Liar! but TFW wins because I actually paid to see -- Liar, Liar! I only saw because a friend of mine was working at the theater and let me in.

Some of the answers in this thread are fucking pathetic.
Just some more recent outings that I can remember:
Across the Universe
Boat Trip
Date Movie
Dreamcatcher
Dumb and Dumberer
Fool's Gold
How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days
A Guy Thing
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
The Master of Disguise
National Lampoon's Van Wilder 2
Next
The Ring Two
Scary Movie 2
Scooby Doo
The Stepford Wives
Superhero Movie
Supernova
White Noise
Seriously. I wish A.I. and War of the Worlds were the worst two movies I've seen in theaters. Shit. At least then the worst movies I saw in theaters were actually good.

The Family Man
Halloween (2007)
Wedding Crashers (fucking hated this...one of the most boring, overhyped comedies of all time)
The Beach
X-Men: The Last Stand
And, of course, Battlefield Earth. I was 12. I wanted to see it. I wanted out five minutes in. My friend thought his mom would be pissed we left the theater. I remember my mom asking me if it was worse than The Beach, and I told her to multiply it by 20 and she'd understand. Still the worst movie of all time (that and The Last Stand).
Can't think of much before 2000 though. I walked out of:
Syriana (couldn't follow it as hard as I paid attention, finally gave up an hour in)
TMNT (I would have walked out earlier if I didn't want to see the part with Kevin Smith's voice, which I didn't recognize)
You Don't Mess with the Zohan (was dragged, finally told my cousin flat out a half-hour in, "This movie is shit. I want out." My three-word review from back in June: Fuck the Zohan.)

Sir, why do you hate great movies?
When I was a kid, Tango and Cash was 'the shit'. I watched it a year-or-so ago and found it very enjoyable, in it's own way. At heart, it's a bad movie. It was like a larger-budget movie, with a straight-to-video script (if there was one); kind of like Bad Boys (the Michael Bay one, duh). But it's still alot of fun.
Superb back-and-forth funnies from Stallone and Russel. Clint Howard as "Slinkey". Brion James, Jack Palance, Michael Jeter, Robert Z'Dar. They don't do it like that much. Con-Air did it. But that was, what, ten years ago?

Tango & Cash is the historic pairing of John Rambo and Snake Plissken against Jack fucking Palance, but it is also one of the most illogical, ridiculous, lame, and hilariously awful movies ever made.
And I love it. And I'd buy it on Blu-ray in a heartbeat.

Mortal Kombat 2. I remember going opening night with my best friend. We were both huge Mortal Kombat fans. We both hated it
