Just because it's post converted doesn't mean it automatically sucks; Cameron had a test conversion of Titanic done and he loved how it looked. It's how well you do it and how good the source is that matters.
Again, the fact that the cgi is 3D is a big plus.

well..ok...I'm iffy at this point.
Granted..that I'm most excited for the battles and if they were filmed w/ the idea of 3D well that'd be epic. So far....I'm not game on the idea but...we'll see.

Comic-Conright now are the actual helmets worn by Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Sir Anthony Hopkins (Odin) in the film. I think that 3D only thing is bullshit. It would open in significantly less theaters if that was the case and I don't think Marvel would shoot themselves in the foot like that.

Today was my third day at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con International extravaganza, and it was chock full of wonderful surprises! Joss Whedon is officially locked in to direct The Avengers, we're one step closer to having a Hank Pym/Ant-Man announcement, The Walking Dead panel and trailer was PHENOMENAL and, of course, the unveiling of Asgardian Helmets at the Marvel booth. Take a look at these images which show different view of Odin, Loki and Thor's helmets:

Those are nice. I was never a huge fan of Thor's Helmet because Loki's looked so much cooler....and it still does.

the action figures don't have any of the three characters with their helmets on, so I'm guessing at most they'll make make an cameo appearance for a scene or two, and that's it.
Which will probably be a shame since they look quite striking in those exhibit photos.

I've found an interview from ComicCon with Tom Hiddleson (Loki). I must say, I was impressed with the amount of Thor knowlege he had.
