A tie between The Thing and Body Snatchers '78.

Both films use their settings to great advantage. They're actually very similar films in that they combine isolation and paranoia with biological horror. Whereas The Thing explores this the remotest setting possible, IotBS goes about it the complete opposite, an urban setting.

And IotBS has one of the best endings ever. It's just fucking terrifying, even after all these years. (And Donald Sutherland's character was dead ringer for one of my high school teachers.)

The Fly and Dawn of the Dead for me. The Fly was just so damn creepy the first time I saw it, and DOTD was vicious as hell.

The Thing followed closely by The Fly. Both great films that bring something new to the table instead of a straight rehash of the original.
