I didn't mind Benchwarmers, though I wouldn't say it's particularly underrated. It's sort of like Blades of Glory for me, an OK Saturday morning stupid comedy.

I won't rest until everyone has seen and appreciates these movies (as much as I do - lol). As you can tell, I love comedies from the late 70's and early 80's.

I was just reading some quotes from Murder by Death and was laughing by myself, hysterically.

Murder by Death (1976)

Milo Perrier: He's gone!
Jessica Marbles: Who's gone?
Milo Perrier: The butler. Here's the key.
Sidney Wang: If butler gone, where you find key?
Milo Perrier: In his pocket.
Jessica Marbles: What pocket?
Milo Perrier: The butler's pocket.
Sidney Wang: Butler gone but pocket still there?
OR
Sidney Wang: Very interesting theory, Mr. Charleston. However, leave out one important point.
Dick Charleston: What's that?
Sidney Wang: Is stupid. Is stupidest theory I ever heard.
OR
Sidney Wang: What meaning of this, Mr. Twain?
Lionel Twain: I will tell you, Mr. Wang, if YOU can tell ME why a man who possesses one of the most brilliant minds of this century can't say his *prepositions* or *articles!* "What IS THE," Mr. Wang! "What IS THE meaning of this?"
Sidney Wang: That what I said! "What meaning of this?"

Fun with Dick and Jane (1977)

Jane Harper: Interesting that the only two jobs you think I am qualified for are a secretary and a prostitute.
Dick Harper: You're not qualified to be a secretary.

9 to 5 (1980)

Violet: Oh, God. They know about the rat poison. I might as well just turn myself in.
Doralee: Violet, it was an accident.
Violet: I'm a murderer.
Judy: No, you're not.
Violet: I'm a murderess. I'm gonna go to the pen. My poor kids. I'm gonna lose my job.
Judy: Violet, stop this.
Violet: I'm no fool. I've killed the boss, you think they're not gonna fire me for a thing like that?

I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978)

The In-Laws (1979)

Sheldon: Did we hit the little boy on Sixth Avenue?
Vince Ricardo: No, we missed him by a good foot and a half.
OR
Vince Ricardo: Serpentine, Shel! Serpentine!
OR
Sheldon: Please God, don't let me die on West 31st Street!
OR
General Garcia: [commenting on his choice for a new national flag, featuring a portrait of himself alongside a topless local prostitute] If it wasn't for the church, this flag would be flying at the U.N right now. But no . . . they stand in the way, THEY STAND IN THE WAY!

Ooh! And:
Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982)

And I have to agree with the previously mentioned Neighbors...

My best friend and I quote this movie all the time.

What isn't to love about the love child of 48 Hrs. and Planes, Trains and Automobiles?

on Amazon Women. The guy in the condom costume gets me every time.

P.S. I'm coincidentally getting the "other" Kicking and Screaming from Netflix tomorrow. Can't wait to see it, loved Squid and the Whale.

I saw that Bowfinger was also mentioned a few times already, so I'd like to add another Eddie Murphy 90's film: Life, co-starring Martin Lawrence. Not a perfect movie by any means, but it's damn funny and a bit touching at times.

One of my favorite goofy underrated comedies is Moving Violations. Let it Ride seems to be criminally underrated.

How about Big Trouble with Tim Allen? It's too bad that the story influenced it's release. And even though it probably contributed to the wave of "reference" Movies, National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 was pretty good.

A "it's so bad it's funny" one would be Pure Luck with Martin Short and Danny Glover; he may have never said it, but Glover looked like he was thinking "I'm too old for [i]this[/] shit."

Galaxy Quest

One of my favorite comedies ever. Very funny and smart, and Alan Rickman rules as always.
