Rocky, certainly. One of the most overrated films ever made.

Annie Hall should have never beaten Star Wars.

I voted Rocky. Only because it somehow beat out Taxi Driver and Network.

ROCKY deserves it, and you know it.

ANNIE HALL over STAR WARS? Stupid Woody Allen.

Patton
A great performance by Scott, but it feels more like a TV mini-series than an actual movie.

Kramer vs. Kramer out of the ten. I still like the movie but it isn't as good as the other nine.

I voted for Annie Hall. Never been a big Woody Allen fan.

Never saw Patton, but the other eight are classics.

I don't understand the hate for Rocky. It's one of my favorites. Is it because the underdog-makes-good sports flick has been redone so many times?

I voted for The Sting. Redford and Newman was a good combination but I just never had an interest in this one.

I voted Kramer vs. Kramer, but that was a strong decade for Oscar winners.

voted for Kramer... very good decade for best picture winners IMO. And while I do LOVE Star Wars, Annie Hall is a great movie that has really held up over the years.

Annie Hall is 1000X the film Star Wars could ever hope to be. One of the most brilliantly scripted, acted, and directed comedies ever. And I love Star Wars.

Rocky never deserved it that year. Network or Taxi Driver did. Both are superior films. Rocky's a good movie though.

I went with Kramer v. Kramer. It's a good movie, actually, but not quite in the same league as the others.

Yes, that must be it.

I dare anyone to watch NETWORK, TAXI DRIVER, ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN, and ROCKY back to back over the course of four nights and tell me ROCKY is the superior film of the four. I triple-dog dare you, feather-muckers!!!

Rocky is definitely the least deserving of those best picture winners. It's the Shakespeare in Love of the '70s: not a bad movie but probably didn't deserve the biggest prize.

Annie Hall IS a good movie, but in terms of significance to American cinema, Star Wars deserves it for sure. That's my humble opinion, of course, and is subjective.

I can vouch for a close match-up between ROCKY and TAXI DRIVER. But there's no way, again, in my humble opinion, that NETWORK is a better movie than ROCKY.

Have you guys seen ROCKY when it came out?
Or saw those 80's copy cat movies first and base the movie on that?
ROCKY had a good love story , characters, acting, the ending, the music score.

I was messing around. I actually consider Taxi Driver to be the superior movie, and the deserving best picture winner. The other two about equal with Rocky.

Rocky is one of the top three screenplays that are used in screenwriting classes. It is a perfect film.

I went with The Sting. It beat The Exorcist and American Graffiti which are both superior films IMO.

I can't believe Cuckoo's Nest hasn't one vote yet. It was close, but barely beaten by Annie Hall for me....
