I often see this when someone is reacting to a trailer. But how the fuck would you know? You have no idea where in the movie the scenes from the trailer occur or what scenes was left out of the trailer.

Looks pretty good. Didn't think they needed to reveal Affleck as one of the bank robbers. Maybe that's not a huge spoiler in the film.

I agree that it seems like they gave away more of the plot and potential twists in that trailer than necessary. Did it water down my excitement in seeing it? Not in the slightest.

I like Affleck's acting in the right role, which this seems to be. I'm looking forward to this and Wall Street 2 equally.

Never heard of the film until I saw Inception. Looks reall good, I never liked Affleck at all, I don't get why everyone here seems to like Phantoms so much. But he looks like he might be decent in this & pretty impressive that he directs it also. I love Hamm though, the guy is going to be a huge movie star eventually & Renner rules, looks like another great role for him.

 Touched a nerve there, huh? I've seen it many times before, when a film gives away that much plot in it's trailer, it's not a good sign. That's how the fuck I know. If you don't like my reaction, too bad for you.

I saw this last and loved it! Has a nice authentic vibe to it, especially the dialogue/accents. Great performances, action, car chases. Jeremy Renner's character is dead on. Real without being overly dark, gritty or super violent.

VERY entertaining. 4/5

Lots of good Buzz on this.

Affleck seems to have found his niche not only as a director, but also as a actor:

The Town is part of a career turnaround so amazing that he looks like the new Clint Eastwood. Seriously - Newsweek

Smart, sleek and undeniably entertaining, Ben Affleck’s sophomore directorial effort proves he’s the real deal. - The Movie Minute

Proves GONE BABY GONE was no fluke, and also that Affleck's rebirth works IN FRONT of the camera too - JoBlo

Ben Affleck has so thoroughly reinvented himself as an actor that it's tempting to take for granted his commendable skills as a director even after his notable debut with "Gone Baby Gone" (2007). - Cole Smithey

looking very forward to this.

loved Gone Baby Gone and like Affleck in general, even looking forward to the John Wells directed The Company Men. never really understood the hate, though i question some of his decisions in the business. thought Sum of All Fears was very good and State of Play was more than decent.

tomatometer keeps going up. sits @ 81% with 16 reviews now.

He looks like the new Clint Eastwood? Not sure about that, but am giving Affleck the benefit of the doubt with this one.

Well, I thought Gone Baby Gone was better than anything Eastwood has directed. But that's just me.

I saw this tonight. I liked it, but it was pretty formulaic and predictable. The performances were good but none were award worthy in my opinion. I enjoyed Gone Baby Gone more, but this by no means was a bad movie. I give it a B.

Up to 86% on the Rotten Tomato meter with a 7.8/10

Armond White Strikes again:

The Town is nearly as ludicrous as [Affleck's] debut Gone Baby Gone -- another poison pen letter to Beantown.
