Worst Best Picture Winner of the 1990's

Silence Of The Lambs was voted the "best" best picture winner of the 90's. Now which one would you personally consider the worst?

Forrest Gump "beats out" Dances with Wolves.

Me too...there are so many of these Best/Worst Oscar polls that they've all run together in my mind. I don't really mind though - I never get tired of voicing a negative opinion about Forrest Gump.

I never created a worst for the 90's. Maybe someone else did.

Shakespeare In Love is the only one I haven't seen, but I voted English Patient.

It's a six-way tie for suck (American Beauty, Shakespeare in Love, Titanic, The English Patient, Forrest Gump, Dances with Wolves). And when you consider all the really great movies that were released in the '90s, it's really almost criminal. Even excluding more obscure or foreign movies, it's just wrong.

Breaking the Waves didn't get a Golden Award.

Deal with it.

Of all those movies, I think the one I least enjoy is The Silence of the Lambs. But that doesn't really mean it's the worst.

Forrest Gump by a LONG country mile... although to be fair, I have never seen (nor will I ever see) "The English Patient".

Titanic.

Just because a film makes over a billion dollars worldwide doesn't mean it's the best film of the year.

Jackie Brown, Boogie Nights and Lost Highway all came out in 1997 and are infinitely better than Titanic.

It'd be easier to pick the movie(s?) that actually deserved the Oscar.
