Tigerland appreciation thread

Ok, i remember watching this film a few years ago, loved it, watched it again tonight and loved it even more. But for some reason, it seems as if it went unnoticed. Its a great film by Joel Schumacher and a fantastic performance by Colin Farrell (which i think was his breakout role). Any of you enjoy this little gem?

I caught some of this one on cable a few years back, before Colin became a big star. I was really impressed with what I saw. I ended up buying it in the $5 bin at Wal Mart but still haven't watched it. Think I'll bump it up on my list to watch.

Meh.

It's an OK film, interesting work by Farrell and Hauser. Weak work by Schumacher.

I liked Cole Hauser's work in the film better than anything, he did a lot with a little. But then Schumacher fucks even that up royally with some idiotic some pretense that a MACV guy wouldn't have dropped that 'bad guy' like a bad habit for aiming a loaded weapon at him after shooting live ammo at soldiers.

The setup of the 'bad guy' as nemesis and whatnot, many plot points in fact, all contrived and predictable.

Some good acting, weak film.

Yup. My favorite Schumacher film. Nothing stood out for Colin Farrell's performance but I've enjoyed him in a lot of other films.

I greatly enjoyed this film. A refreshing departure for Schumaker, with some nice camerawork.

So was that a stunt-double cock of Colin Ferrell or really him? An ok film, not one I'd watch again personally.

I think it was really him, I remember somewhere reading an interview of him talking about his "bits."

I enjoyed it quite a bit, I should watch it again.

Forgot about this one. Been meaning to see it. Off to Netflix.

Ferrell has no problem showing off his bits, he did the same for A Home at the End of the World but the scene was apparently cut after making test audiences uncomfortable.
