I thought it was okay. I liked that it was all about one night, and the adventures one could have between 8pm and 8am.
Someone earlier wrote it best - this movie is 'sweet'.

It was enjoyable despite the crappy music.
Agreed with everyone else about Kat's rack. Worthy of at least a viewing for that alone.

I have to say I really like this film, and it surprises the hell out of me. For me it's the After Hours of the post-Guiliani era, one with a cleaner, safer New York that seems more a playground than a death trap. I also like that both of the characters were awkward instead of the ugly geek or the geeky girl who we're supposed to believe is ugly until she takes off her glasses and oh look she's actually a model- I'm getting ahead of myself. Point is, I like this movie.

Count me in as another person sold on this movie. I thought it was good up till the last 20 minutes, then it kicked into high gear and everything they had been building came together. I might actually have to buy this (and then hide it so I don't have to admit it to people).

We rented this and watched it last night. Now I really wish the wife hadn't talked me out of buying it since I definately want to buy it, and unfortunately the sale prices are gone. Oh well, it will just have to wait for the $13 rack at Target.
As my wife put it, "This was one of those movies that you just smile the whole time you are watching it, and when its over your cheeks hurt." I couldn't think of a better way to describe it.

Thought it was OK - a little too typical for a teen romance. Glad I rented it though.
On a side note, do bands actually do stuff like Where's Fluffy? No band would be worth that kind of hassle IMO.

I watched this the other day and I thought it was a good movie buried underneath a lot of unnecessary Hollywood artifice. If only someone could go back in time, and, using Cera and Dennings, make the same movie without any of the silly subplots. The scenes with just the two of them, being driven or wandering around NYC, had great chemistry, but the rest of the movie, including the ridiculous gay band (do gay guys really have suitcases full of bras on hand just to help out girls their straight friends might like?), Ari Graynor's drunken mishaps (she's good, the mishaps are contrived), Cera's ex's bitchiness (as two-dimensional a character as they come) and the insistent "indie" quirkiness of the whole film, down to the Juno-esque dialogue (not a surprise it was written by one of Diablo Cody's friends), was a weight on the natural charm of its leads.

Just watched the first half hour and I like what I see so far. Kat Dennings helps too.

I agree with you. I am in fact a bit surprised at how much everyone in this thread seems enamored with this flick. The running gag with the gum and the gay jokes just seemed like lazy, amateur writing to me.

It was OK, but anything would have been better than College (started watching that one first and made it ~25 minutes), like someone else mentioned it was a "sweet" movie with likeable characters.

Fun fact, the studio at the end where they have sex is Electric Lady Studios in NYC, which was started by Jimi Hendrix. I've sat on that same couch many a time, most recently to produce Michelle Branch's acoustic session there.

But I enjoy the conspiratorial angle too. I'm so sneaky!

I watched the movie and really liked. Although I'm 34 I'm still a big fan of good teen movies (Can't buy me love, Can't hardly wait, Pump Up the volume, etc.).Yeah, the dialogues were not the best, the end was kinda meh, but the movie as a whole was very entertaining.

Saw this over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. There hasn't been a solid teen comedy like the ones we used to get in the 80s in a long time. It reminded me of Adventures in Babysitting, just not as slapsticky.

Saw it last night. Thought it was just o.k. Some nice performances, but just your run of the mill teen flick overall. Rating 6/10 at best.

I just watched this and it bugs me that Michael Cera pretty much plays the same role in everything he has ever done including Arrested Development.

Just saw it, I want my 1.5 hours back. The cast was fine, but that script needed some work...

I caught this on DVD a while ago (rented it, thankfully I did NOT buy it blind!) and pretty much agree with the negative sentiment surrounding this movie. I should have avoided it based on the marketing to the Juno crowd.
