Forrest Gump will always remain close to me, since i believe it was the first really serious/arty movie i ever saw (more like something without toilet humor and or lots of explosions ) First saw that at age 11 on tape. if i recall, the reason i wanted to see it was the ping pong scene in the trailer. Although i believe that Pulp fiction did deserve the best picture oscar for that year.

Back to the Future is my favorite movie of all-time, thus making it my favorite Zemeckis film, too.

If I wasn't biased towards BTTF, I'd have chosen Gump; I enjoy that movie more with each subsequent viewing.

I went with Back to the Future. It's just an extremely entertaining movie that I think nobody dislikes. I never was a fan of Gump, though I dislike Pulp Fiction even more. Of the movies nominated for best pic in 94, I would have went with Shawshank.

I always have to double-check these thread titles....is it best or favorite? Oh well, I voted Back to the Future. Probably fits both descriptions for me.

One of my favourite director. Even his so-so movies are just good.

Out of the ones I've seen:

Back to the Future
Forrest Gump
Contact
Cast Away
The Polar Express
Back to the Future Part II
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
What Lies Beneath
Back to the Future Part III
Beowulf
Used Cars

Death Becomes Her

Back To The Future and Used Cars are two of my all time favourites. ("Fifty bucks never killed anybody!") I think with the exception of Polar Express, every movie on this poll is pretty damn decent. Zemeckis has a great catalogue IMO.

I *DESPISE* Forrest Gump with a loathing usually reserved for Hitler. A more crass celebration of collective idiocy, I have yet to see.

That having been said, it was a tight race between BTTF and Roger Rabbit but ultimately I went with WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT. That movie is absolutely magical.

Cast Away.

I like BTTF but it's not the classic some think it is.

And Used Cars- I love that movie.

BTTF. I've loved this movie since I first saw it on HBO in the 80's.
