Is it graphic enough that it couldn't have received an R-rating? You know where it could be shown at more theatres?

thanks

Has anybody caught this on demand cable? or in the 1 theatre it's apparently in?

the DVDtalk critics apparently didn't care for it all that much

Finally caught this and enjoyed it. Some funny stuff in this movie, just like all of Todd's films.

Actually had to go back to IMDB to check on who played certain characters in the original film etc.

I'll pick it up on DVD for sure.

Just got this on Blu-Ray (streeted a week early?)

If it screened here in Toronto, I somehow missed it, so this is a blind-buy on faith. (and hope that enthusiastic sales figures will get Criterion to issue BDs of Solondz's other films - heck 'Happiness' is still only available non-anamorphic!)

I'd better like it, 'cause if I don't I'll be miserable and depressed and frustrated. And that's surely the last thing Solondz would want in his audience.

It's been making the rounds on pay cable lately. I forget if it's HBO or Showtime.

I'm gonna have to purchase that Blu-ray for sure. Happiness should be a Criterion disc for sure.

I did get to see this, and it was awful. Horrible script, lame duck performances, and the whole thing felt pointless. I do not recommend it.

So, watched the film and really liked it.

Read the Sterritt essay in the booklet and really hated that. I'm not sure what film he was watching, but my interpretation didn't even come close to his. In fact, if the film I saw was even close to the 9/11 obsession that he seemed to think it was (or was meant to be) I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have liked it at all.

Come to think of it, I bet Sterritt and Ally Sheedy's character would have gotten along great. He probably thought she was the hero iof the film.
