I'm talking about Levitt playing a superhero because of what Bane does to Batman. I can't see two villains and an antihero along with Batman and Gordon.

He'll probably be a cop on Gordon's task force, that is if the rumor turns out to be true. Nolan and Bale have been anti-side kick from the beginning.

I can see JGL as a morally ambiguous cop.

JGL will be "before" Bane.

Since Hathaway has only been confirmed as Selina Kyle, I predict JGL is playing Catwoman.

JGL is an incredibly versatile actor. Clearly he'll be portraying Talia Al Gul.

On a more serious note, I'd love it if my dream of seeing Jean Paul Valley in the third film came true and JGL was cast in said role.

I personally don't think as highly of JGL as most people seem to. So I'm going with... non-iconic good guy, like his role in Inception.

I thought he was great in Brick and The Lookout so interested to see what kind of part he has in this (if he does).

JGL will be reprising Nicky Katt's role as "wise-cracking cop" from The Dark Knight, due to Katt's salary and billing demands.

Yeah, if there was anything I really didn't like from TDK, it was that...

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

Wonder if he's casting JGL in a part in this so he won't be able to play the Joker (as has been speculated) in future, non-Nolan installments?

Why not? They already are recycling Catwoman, might as well get Mr. Freeze, Penguin, and the Riddler in there too.

This. Though I'm sure they will just go through the rest of the 10 Things I Hate About You cast, I'm sure Julia Stiles could use the work.

I was thinking the same thing.

I really hope he's not going to be Robin.

Maybe they'll give him the name Dick Grayson, let him be a reporter, and have his character killed.

Nolan has stated numerous times he never will give Batman a sidekick.

I'm thinking JGL would fit in as a reporting digging into the events of TDK and uncovering what really happened. Sort of a good guy but being a thorn in the sides of Gordon and Batman.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

This is a very interesting article on how racially diverse Nolan's Batman films are compared to the vast majority of comic book-based movies:

http://www.obsessedwithfilm.com/feat...php#more-58617

The genesis of the article was all the fanboy bitching about Tom Hardy being cast, Bane's ethnicity being in question.
