They also said that no music had leaked yet, so any previously posted Tron Legacy tracks aren't legit, I guess.

What kind of FX are they using to make Flynn/Bridges look younger? I noticed Bruce Boxleitner/Tron was in the teaser as well, so I am guessing they will do the same with him.
Also, are the recognizers those behemoth looking spaceship like things with two long legs?

So after countless remakes/re-imaginings/reboots/sequels - it looks like we might FINALLY have one that gets it right. When I was a kid, I remember I freaked out when I saw the recognizer the first time - I think I had the same reaction when I saw it again in this trailer. This just went up to my #1 movie I want to see this year. Too damn bad it's at the END of the year...sigh...
I agree, making us wait that long is cruel!
That first shot in the teaser of the Tron universe was definitely goosebump inducing. It sent out the message that everything in this world that you love is still intact, but a lot more advanced. Unlike the Star Wars movies where there's no explanation as to why everything looks better all of a sudden, the fact that this takes place within the always evolving world of computers provides a good platform for the FX.

seeing the trailer before 'Alice in Wonderland' in IMAX-Digital this morning, I noted that the non-game world scenes are in 2.35 and then for the game world it opens to full IMAX screen dimensions.

I've been wearing my Flynn's Arcade shirt for a while.
But you know Disney is going to market the hell out of this movie. They are already planning to do an animated series to be released around that time and expect Flynn's Arcade to pop up in Tomorrow Land where the old arcade is located.

well that question I had about Young Jeff Bridges is only later answered and only leads me to wonder more about that shot and the backstory on that character of Young Jeff Bridges. Interesting...

He looks badass in the new costume. Don't know why he's younger in the TRON world. And who is the mother of the kid? Cindy Morgan's character, Lora? Good to see Bruce back and the update Recognizer too. I had the Intellivision game back in the day too.
It would be great for a summer release when everyone is out seeing movies.

What's there to be confused about? It's Clu. He's a copy of young Kevin Flynn. Flynn is still in the film and is older.

Kevin Flynn is a young and gifted software engineer who works for the software corporation ENCOM, creating several video games on the company's mainframe after hours, aiming to start his own game company. However, an ambitious ENCOM programmer named Ed Dillinger locks Flynn out of the system and presents Flynn's work as his own. Dillinger earns himself a series of executive promotions, while Flynn (canned by Dillinger) is relegated to opening a video game arcade, featuring the games that he created. From then to the present, Flynn tries to hack into the ENCOM mainframe to find evidence of Dillinger's wrongdoing, but his program, Clu, is caught and erased by the Master Control Program (MCP).
It seems the character in the trailer is Clu 2.
Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn, who disappeared in '89, seven years after the first movie, for 20 years, & Clu 2, new incarnation of Kevin's avatar.
