Ok, I get that the daughter thing was a dream with her killing him, but he wrote that note saying that he ran away etc...right??

So im confused about him waking up in bed with his wife, etc...

Also, was Hurt suppose to be his father or a 2nd identity???

He lied about the note so he could kill that guy. He decided to stop killing after he killed that guy in the cemetery. Hurt was his conscience.

Apparently this is a trilogy story, so a sequel may be in the works???

This was the first movie Kevin Costner went on record as saying he'd want to do a sequel to (he's historically shunned sequels). Sadly, the box office and video receipts aren't enough to justify one.
