Battle of the Contemporary Villains: Anton Chigurh vs. Daniel Plainview vs. The Joker

Who wins a three-way brawl and why?

Chigurh is slow-moving, but when he's got his oxygen tank and silenced shotgun he's nigh indestructible. Get yourself or your friendos on the wrong side of the coin and you'll have some fatal gaping holes in your body to deal with.

Plainview may be killer with a bowling pin, but he drinks and only his psyche is unstoppable, if tangibly vicious. Drinks milkshakes nonstop, and not in the traditional sense. Could bankrupt Halliburton if he was real.

The Joker will commit any kind of crime: psychological torment, assassination, terrorist bombings, bank robberies, organized double-crosses, and so on. Amazing with knives, bombs, guns, and his mind, but magic is his best talent.

I'm deadlocked between Chigurh and Joker, but I think Chigurh takes it.

Plainview is someone who I dont consider to be a villain.
Anyone who beats the shit of of a hypocritical, manipulative religious figure with a bowling pin is O.K. in my book.

Joker. It helps that I didn't care for No Country at all.

Chigurh would inflict the most physical damage.

Plainview would inflict the most financial damage.

Joker would inflict the most ocular damage.

Chigurh wins.

Chigurh definately would kick all their asses. Plainview would go down first. Once he's out of the way, Joker would try to mess with Chigurh's mind. But Chigurh would get bored by the joker and totally put him in the ground in seconds.

well, are we pitting them all in today's society? or in their eras respectively? i mean i don't get the "contemporary" aspect of the question...contemporary as in today's movie villians, right?

because it is a different world they each lived in. i would say Joker today because he is the progressive in a modern society. i think Anton would get eaten up in today's world (i think Plainview is just a stupid choice in this poll).

i just think Joker is the more psychotic of the two.

Didn't see The Dark Knight yet. But Chigurh might not fight Joker. Maybe it's against his 'rules'. They might just sit down and have some tea. Plainview would accidently kill both in a moment of anger.

It happened. I saw it.

And yes, I do feel like less of a person since I replied to this thread.

In a way, Chigurh is Two-Face without the facial deformity and a more inventive weapon. And we all know what Joker did to him. (Well, those of us who have seen it anyway. No offense, troystiffler.)

Joker takes it.

Chigurh.

The Joker is a total psycho, no question, but Chigurh is a silent assassin. The Joker's strength lies in his ability to manipulate people into doing things for him, Chigurh is not a man that can be reasoned with.

Based on the movies they were in and the characters themselves, the first 2 are incredibly boring--especially Plainview--so I'd have to go with Joker.
