I don't know why abe55 didn't care for it, but imo, The Iron Giant is a well crafted movie with an emotional punch, but it just isn't particularly entertaining.

I didn't care for Iron Giant either, but it seems like everyone else here pretty much loves it.

That's it for me. I don't think it's a bad movie, but it failed to entertain.

But for the most part Pulp Fiction is consistently mentioned to me as a universally liked film.

I find that most women don't care for it. Men seem to all love it........

Hmmmm a few movies that I think that everyone would be crazy not to like would be Forgetting Sarah Marshall and The Dark Knight. I mean, I know these are recent but I think they are by far the best movies of the summer. What do you guys think? If you like Forgetting Sarah Marshall than I have this app I know you all would love, especially if you liked the "Inside of You" scene.

I guess I "like" Dark Knight but having seen it twice I am far from thinking it is a movie that should be universally liked. In my view it kind of falls apart at the end, and is very disjointed. I am not convinced it will age super well.

To me a universally liked movie is "It's a Wonderful Life"
