What are some movies that feature todays stars?

You know how you watch the older movies and you see a whole bunch of people that back then were just starting out - I think that's kinda cool sometimes just to see how they have turned out.

What are some of your favorites?

For me I'd say...

Fast Times At Ridgemont High - Judge Reinhold, Phoebe Cates, Nic Cage (Coppolla), Jennifer Jason Leigh

Dazed & Confused - Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich

Stand By Me - Keifer Sutherland, John Cusack, Jerry O'Connell

Don't forget Forest Whitaker, Eric Stoltz and Anthony Edwards. Plus Philip Spector's murder victim, Lana Clarkson.

I don't know how you came to classify these two as "today's stars" as Reinhold hasn't been topped billed in anything since the 90's (Beverly Hills Cop is an Eddie Murphy movie, not a Judge Reinhold movie) and Phoebe hasn't been in a movie since 2001.

Perhaps the title of the thread should have been "Films featuring multiple future stars".

That was Renee Zellweger's more prettier, funnier twin Joey Lauren Adams.

And the answer to the OP is The Outsiders.

Zellweger was in Dazed and Confused but she had a non speaking, blink-and-you-miss-it part where she appeared in the background during a party. IIRC.

LOL...I know what you mean. Perhaps it should have been "stars" (using the term loosely)

Really more of a "wow, I didn't know s/he was in this movie" kinda sitautaion I guess

Also Jason Scott Lee. While not big today, he did do Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story and Lilo and Stitch.

A lot of those names were hardly just starting out in 1995.

Donnie Darko - Seth Rogen, Ashley Tisdale (not a fan, but she does count)

Clueless - Brittany Murphy, Paul Rudd, Breckin Meyer, Jeremy Sisto

The Graduate - Richard Dreyfus, Norman Fell (not sure if he was famous in 1967, but I know that it was a decade before Three's Company), Mike Farrell

Sean Penn was meant to be the "star" tho.

Same reason I didn't list Jake Gyllenhaal for Donnie Darko, but did list Rogen and Tisdale. Jake was the star of that movie, even tho it's true he went on to become a much bigger star, people who rent the movie and see him on the cover of the DVD aren't going to go "wow, I didn't know Jake Gyllenhaal was in this, look how young he is", but they are likely to do that for Seth Rogen.
