I will see:
Wolverine (if it gets good reviews)
Transformers 2
Public Enemies
and that's it. So that's 2, maybe 3.
As opposed to:
Iron Man
Indiana Jones
The Incredible Hulk
Wall-E
The Dark Knight
The Pineapple Express
and Tropic Thunder this year.
I will maybe see 5 or 6 of those by the end of the summer - so that's a big difference.

looks like a terrible summer '09....guess I'll have to make the best of 08's offerings which have been pretty impressive this far...not necessarily quality wise, but choice wise - yeah! and lots o' rated R's
next summer looks mostly geared to the tween audience...but what's new right?

the A-Team?
Seriously???

Bruce Willis as Hannibal = sounds great
Ice Cube as B.A. = maybe okay
Woody Harrelson as Murdock = now I refuse to watch this movie.

I'm all about Wolverine.
Up will be interesting as will the double dose of Christian Bale: Public enemies and Terminator 4.
But yeah hopefully, there will good indie films next summer to fill some of these gaps.
