Re: Wolverine - Solo

All the close-ups of Jackman on the motorcycle in the scene above look really fake ... I mean, green screen much?

I'm hearing good reviews. Even Howard Stern loved it.

As much as I enjoy Howard Stern, the man doesn't know shit when it comes to having good taste in movies.

I'm hearing a lot of bull shit spin-control to alleviate the atrocious word of mouth from the leaked version, which is identical to what's being released.

Wolverine Fights Piracy with Multiple Endings Gimmick

Spoiler:
At an advanced screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine last night in Los Angeles, director Gavin Hood introduced the film by announcing that they've included multiple after-the-credits endings spread across several prints of the film, meaning folks will have to visit multiple theaters in order to watch them all. Hood did not reveal exactly how many endings there were; the one at last night's screening apparently included Deadpool, according to First Showing.

Re: Wolverine - Solo

So deleted scenes? It's not like this is Clue we're talking about. There's one official ending.

Re: Wolverine - Solo

Saw this today as it started early here in the UK.
I give it 3/5 rating. It's just that the SFX in this is very poor. Too much blue/green screen work. Danny Huston and Liev were great in their roles.
Ryan Reynolds was superb and the exact right choice for Wade. I would really like to see his own movie. Not enough of him in this one.

I haven't seen gotten the impression of atrocious word of mouth. I see more people saying it's decent but not great then it being terrible.

Re: Wolverine - Solo

I have a feeling that's what the "re-shoots" were, or the "added footage"

It's at 44% on Rottentomatoes with 20% cream of the crop.

Although, this is only based on 18 reviews so far.

That's cool. Some reviews have said he was a highlight of the movie, so I'm glad they didn't kill him off.

So, they've never heard of the internet? The same internet that plays host to the piracy that they're attempting to combat with this technique?

Oh, my head.

Bear in mind, Howard also loved "Spider-Man 3", calling it the best in the series. He felt the same way about "X-Men: The Last Stand".

Agreed

Fight piracy by assuming people will want to pay $10+ more than once to see several endings.

Going to try and catch a showing of this over the weekend.

Re: Wolverine - Solo

All these Clue references are making me think the DVD/Blu-ray version will have that "...but what if?" thing after one of the endings.

Shouldn't. All the unwashed and unkempt fanboys have already seen it and won't be going anyway. Clean theater for the regular folk.
