Guess the Tomatometer for The Happening

I say 8%.

Groucho 06-10-08 10:29 AM

I say 98%. Ha!

sauce07 06-10-08 10:49 AM

32%

GenPion 06-10-08 11:00 AM

72%.

I'll probably love it. Rotten Tomatoes has not been too kind to M. Night Shyamalan in the past though, so we shall see...

eedoon 06-10-08 11:02 AM

45% for the opening days. Then it drops... ;)

Coral 06-10-08 11:28 AM

52% when the final review is in... which is an improvement for M. Night - even though I'm sure the film will suck pretty hard.

Jericho 06-10-08 11:32 AM

I wanted to say 50%, but it was right on the borderline between the choices. And I figured it would be lower than 50%, if anything, so I went with that choice.

Brack 06-10-08 11:34 AM

yikes, someone is a little obsessed with The Happening.

Who cares? Go see it for yourself, don't rely on what other people tell you.

Relying on critics to form your opinions = pointless.

DRG 06-10-08 02:27 PM

For historic perspective:
Wide Awake (1998) = 41%
The Sixth Sense (1999) = 84%
Unbreakable (2000) = 68%
Signs (2002) = 74%
The Village (2004) = 42%
Lady in the Water (2006) = 24%

GoldenJCJ 06-10-08 02:31 PM

I refuse to accept information on anything called a "Tomatometer"!

Dr Mabuse 06-10-08 03:12 PM

24% or under...

Zodiac_Speaking 06-10-08 04:25 PM

easily low 30%.

I'm saying 32%.

Complaining about what is ultimately a fun and harmless thread = pointless.

Seriously?

and 66% I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt that critics will be sharply divided on it.

Couldn't stand his last two films. This one looks promising and I'll probably check it out.
