Stuck (Mena Suvari, Stephen Rea, dir. by Stuart Gordon)

Anyone seen this film?

Stuck

Brandi is a compassionate young retirement-home caregiver in-line for a promotion. Tom is a victim of the downsized economy, out of work and newly homeless. Their worlds collide when Brandi, driving home from a club after too many drinks and pills, accidentally hits Tom, the impact smashing his body head-first through her car’s windshield. If discovered, this “accident” will extinguish her bright future, so instead of saving him, her plan is to let him pass and dispose of the body later. Faced with this reality, Tom knows he must escape if he wants to survive. -Based on a true story.

I saw it. I dug it. It's a "B" movie, but well-made and entertaining.

I watched it last night, and I really liked it. The whole stuck in the windshield thing, while being based on a true story, was definitely a metaphor for... for... well for something, I'm sure. I also really like how Mena Suvari's character wasn't a total cliche. Really thankful they didn't have her do some kind of trashy accent and you weren't really sure where her motivation was coming from.

Kind of a shame this film was released so far under the radar.

I thought it was great. About the ending:
Spoiler:
I loved it although it veered completely off the true story path

Shame that this actually happened, though.
