I certainly prefer this "Lost In Translation" to the one they chose.

I also quite like this poster:

What is even more befuddling to me is not that they picked 40 Year Old Virgin over Star Wars Episode 4, but that they picked Episode 1's teaser poster over the classic Star Wars poster.

Morans. Absolute morans.

Out of my collection, I would probably list this in the top 100 somewhere:

Batman 1989

Oh yeah, good choice. The Batman post was the iconic symbol for the beginning of the 1990s.

I have these two, among others, hanging in my movie room:

Great list but the only one I found lacking was Apocalypse Now.

My bathroom cabinet in my house was lined with newspaper by the previous owner. This ad is there.

The four I have in my home theater, which I like better than 90% of that list:

Another basic, iconic image that he missed.

This poster totally sold me on the film months in advance...

And then I've always loved this poster...

Oh, wait... Wrong forum. Sorry.

Shouldn't this thread be called "Some Guy's Picks for the 100 Greatest Movie Posters of All Time" because it's just the opinion of one guy on his own movie-focused homepage (and his picks are clearly "In His Opinion" just like his his picking "The Shawshank Redemption" as the greatest movie ever made).

I'd personally like to see a real poll of the greatest movie posters of all time, but one dude's homepage opinion ain't it!

A recent poster, but one of my all-time favorites. And now on framed and on my wall.

Not saying these are among the greatest by any means, but I've always liked them:

There are several variations for this movie, but this is the one I had when I was younger:

This may not have been the greatest movie in the world, but I like the style of this poster:
