Hit the trifecta of disliking Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, and The Mist.
SR was OK, GM was horrible. Made me swear off of Mist.

It rhymes enough. I believe it's called an imperfect rhyme.

It stars three or more of the cast members from "In Living Color".

It is directed by Uwe Boll.

The trailer shows a guy getting hit in the nuts with pained
reaction shots from other cast members...

The trailer shows a cute animal reacting to something by covering its eyes with its paws....

It is based on a video game...

The box has SWAYZE or STALLONE on the cover in big letters and Don and Frank in really tiny letters....

...the soundtrack was created before a script was written.

...it stars more than 2 rappers.

...character names are badly worded puns. (Exception: Marx Brothers)

...New York City gets destroyed. Go pick on someone else.

...men in drag fool everyone.

...white people dancing is a source of mockery.

...it has a cameo by the latest top 40 singing star/group, which then becomes stale as a dessicated turd within 2 years.

Training Day had 2 rappers in it and that movie is great. Some liked American Gangster and that had a whole roster.

...when the rave review quotes and blurbs are those from the internet.

...when the star of the movie becomes the director.

...when its only advertising, fast-food tie-ins are with Arby's or Weinershcnitzel.

- Most anything related to "ethnic comedy" sucks.

- The trifecta of the apocalypse: Dean Cain, Cuba Gooding Jr., Freddie Prinze Jr.

- It's a sequel that is clearly unneccessary.

- It has a moment in the trailer meant to engender laughter where the wacky/frantic music/loud screaming abruptly stops and silence decends due to some gaffe one of the characters makes.

- It's blatantly pandering to a female audience. The trailer shows middle aged women laughing over coffee/hugging with $500 sunglasses perched on their heads while the music swells.

- When there's no point to the movie other than to serve as a sounding board for typically Hollywood politically correct agendas: corporations suck, black people are wise and soulful, white men are stiff and mean, Republicans are Machiavellian schemers, left wing populists are benevolent and kind, rich people are all greedy, poor people are saint-like, street smarts are better than a Harvard education.

When lots of so-called "critics" have nothing but scores of glowing adjectives to describe the film
