Re: Your 'Best Picture' Winners of the past

An expectedly superb list Yakusa, but you neglected to include films from 1923, 1935, 1940 and 1942. Might I suggest La Roue, The Devil is a Woman, His Girl Friday, and The Magnificent Ambersons, respectively?

Do they all have to be from the Criterion Collection(s)?

His Girl Friday doesn't do much for me, and I haven't seen the other three yet, so I'll just have to leave them out for now.

Define what you mean by "all" "have" and "from" because so far as I understand those terms none of these films are "from" the Criterion Collection, none of them "have" to be "from" anywhere, and not "all" of them have been released on DVD by Criterion - in fact, only about a third have.
