He hasn't made one since Bad Boys 2. I'd like to see more films along the lines of The Rock and Con Air (and BB2). Big, noisy, with action galore. I wonder if he's planning on working with Michael Bay ever again...

IMDb has three movies in development for him in '09, and all of them are clearly not big dumb R-rated action movies that'd probably be fun as hell.
Confessions of a Shopaholic, a romantic comedy. WTF?
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which sounds like Disney is trying to make the next Pirates franchise. Again, count me out.
G-Force, starring animal commandos fighting terrorism for the government. In live action with CGI. With Nicolas Cage voicing one of them.
Remember kids, the same man also gave us such family-friendly classics as Beverly Hills Cop, The Rock and Con Air!
Anyone ever hear stories about his late partner, Don Simpson? Guy was a complete nutjob...the epitome of crazed, morally ambiguous Hollywood producers of the time.

Did Bad Boys 2 make any profit? Box Office Mojo says the "production" budget was $130 million. I know they promoted the hell out of that one. And it only took in $138 million in the US. And only $134 million overseas. And this starred Will Smith.
Perhaps the above numbers are why they haven't worked together since.

There seems to be a number of news stories about it possibly happening:

I wish he would give in and make more R-rated flicks, it like he became a big pussy after Potc became huge and only cares about grosses. The only thing close he made to being r-rated after Bad Boys II, was King Arthur with the unrated dvd. Please bring back the R-rated action flick, we all miss them.

Considering how well the family-oriented Pirates and National Treasure franchises have done, I don't see Bruckheimer really wanting to get back into the R-rated game anytime soon.

Looks like we will be getting the next best (better?) thing:
Bruckheimer and Bay to Reunite for HBO Drama?
Source: Variety
May 6, 2008
"Variety reports that Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay may reunite for a Warner Bros. TV drama series to air on HBO. The project is loosely based on the 2006 documentary Cocaine Cowboys.
The trade says the series would revolve around the drug trade in Miami in the 1980s. It would focus on the cutthroat world of drug dealers and the Colombian cocaine kingpins who set up shop in the once-sleepy Florida city.
Bruckheimer and Bay, who collaborated on a string of blockbusters in the 1990s including Bad Boys, The Rock and Armageddon, would serve as executive producers.
A deal has not been finalized between HBO and Warners and a writer is not yet attached."
