Tom Cruise still crazy...but will be more professional about it now

http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=312315&GT1=7703

This guy is a piece of work. "We don't care Tom" - there, I said it.

Just ran into the article this morning and thought I'd share.

Definitely one of my favorite actors. I enjoy most of his movies and am mature enough not to let his personal beliefs get in the way. Frankly, I could care less what they are. He's got a solid resume.

I hope too many people don't buy his change of heart. Once you go as crazy as he seems to have done over the past few years, you don't just come back.

Someone sat his ass down, verbally bitchslapped him, and told him to either come to his senses or at least pretend to do so, or else his career would be permanently damaged.

It wont be too long before he can't contain his stupidity any longer, and it'll be even more outlandish than before.

Then again, if he still busts out great flicks I really don't care one way or the other.

If I cared about every actor/actresses political beliefs, I would never goto the movies. Most actors annoy the hell out of me, and Tom Cruise went pretty looney a couple of years ago, especially with that interview with Matt Laurer. I just ignore all their BS and just try to enjoy the good movies they put out.

So Tom is a bit of an oddball. Who cares? He still makes good movies - that's all I care about.

I didn't avoid seeing Iron Man because of Downey's drug history, nor do I avoid Hugh Grant movies because of his past indisgressions. Heck, I still see Mel Gibson films...

Tom's never been on the wrong side of the law, so why should we crucify the guy because his personal views don't conform with the majority?

He supposedly steals the movie in Tropic Thunder, will have people talking about it for months.

I agree, as nuts as Cruise is sometimes, like jumping on couches on the Oprah show, he isn't driving around drunk like Lindsey Lohan and endagering people on the road.

As an actor, I still like him as much as I did. He's batshit crazy, but Hollywood is filled with them.

My opinion on him hasn't changed much. The only movies I've really liked him in besides his 80s stuff was the Mission: Impossible movies and Minoritiy Report. I didn't like M:I-3 not because of him, but I thought the film was lacking and JJ Abrams was the wrong man for the job.

The dude's a nut, but to each their own. That doesn't mean he isn't a talented actor.

This is exactly what I was gonna say.
As long as he keeps making good adult films that don't pander to children he can say whatever he wants to in his private life.

I don't get why everyone gets so angry about Cruise's kooky antics. What more could you possibly want from a celebrity than to be entertaining on AND off-screen? Cruise is the best celebrity, hands down.

Cruise's off-screen antics will be the reason why he never wins an Oscar until he's like 70 or something.

I don't agree with his views on psychiatry and antidepressants (I'm sure they're over prescribed though). That interview with Lauer is the only time that I felt he came off badly. Aside from that, he's no nuttier than the people who believe the world is only about 6,000 years old.

If Oscar can welcome back Roman Polanski to the fold, they won't have issues about giving him a Oscar.
