Yeah, that was the rumor. I was trying to be vague to avoid spoilers.

Spoiler:
Unless the reference is extremely obscure, no other villains were hinted at in The Dark Knight. Even the rumored Anthony Michael Hall Riddler set up doesn't happen.

I just got back from WalMart, checking out the new releases, and as I was leaving I walked by the toy department and noticed the Batman figures at th end of a row so I stopped and checked it out. They actually had a figure of The Joker with Crime Scene Evidence, so I bought it for $11. That's the first time I've ever actually seen that in a store.

^ The shot with Ledger at the street corner -- back turned to the audience, mask dangling -- is rad. I thought it looked stunning when I saw it IMAX, but it speaks volumes as a still pic.

Are there two versions of this figure or something? I see 3-4 Jokers every time I go to Wal-mart.

They have multiple Joker figures, but the one with the "crime scene evidence" seems to be the one that everyone wants. I have no clue why that is though. It looks more like the Joker from the movie, less cartoony and more real, so maybe that's it.

I just went back and watched a few of the clips of Ledger as The Joker that are well known, including the bit on the Batman Begins Blu-ray.

I must say that I absolutely do not in any way at all see it as Heath Ledger as The Joker. I can't help but see it as Heath Leger is The Joker.

Can't. Freakin'. Wait.

Bingo. It's the only one that looks like Ledger. The rest are all in an odd animated style that doesn't fit into the line very well. Plus you get the really cool Joker card and baggy from Batman Begins.

Now, reply away, and I'm going to try my best not even to read the answer.

If no one told me who was cast, I don't think I would have ever guessed it was Ledger.

The figure has been recalled. There was a chemical in the paint.. some toy forum had the info on it.

I dunno though, others are saying it's because of Ledger's estate.. either way if the stores haven't sent them back yet they're sold out.

If anyone finds one, PLEASE PM ME. I've done way too much to try and find him.

They're due to be released at the end of July (Begins Suit and Joker). TDK Suit is around Sept and the Tumbler is somewhere between Nov-Dec.

I believe these are exclusive to Hong Kong/Japan and will not be officially released in the US.

The price on the Joker figure has risen quite a bit since it was announced.

IMAX have informed a fan that there will be a 15 second trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with the IMAX opening of Batman: The Dark Knight. The information was given to O Mundo de Harry Potter, who sent an email to them. Here is their response:

Thank you for your e-mail to [email protected]. The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience will open in select IMAX theatres beginning July 18th. Visit IMAX - The Dark Knight for a list of theatres that will play the film. You can either click on the homepage graphic for the film, or go to the 'Coming Soon' section under FILMS and select the film title. Then click on 'Find a Theatre'. Contact your local IMAX theatre directly regarding advance ticket purchases, pricing, etc. as this is all done at the theatre level.

There will be a SHORT, 15 second trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince prior to The Dark Knight.

Regards,

IMAX Corporation

At this time, Warner Bros has not confirmed this information.

I found the good Joker figure right after it came out and I snatched it up. It's the only one I've even seen. I also got the Batman one as well. I went to Wal-Mart today and I saw that now there's a new Batman (in the BB suit) and the Scarecrow in that same line of realistic figures. I couldn't help myself and I got the Batman.
