Psycho 1960 vs The Thing 1982
 

Among my two favorite movies ever. Vote for which one you think is the better movie.

While I personally find The Thing (1982) to be more entertaining, Psycho is the BETTER movie of the two.

I have to go with the Thing. More interesting subject matter, and timeless practical effects (w/ the exception of maybe some stop-motion stuff)

I've not seen either one, but I'll go with The Thing because it's in color.

The Thing; I always though Psycho was overrated. Probably because of all the crappy thrillers that copied it.

Even though the Thing was a remake I think it stands as one of the better horror movies ever made.

Psycho by a light year...and I love The Thing.

Absolutely love The Thing, but Psycho is better.

No comparison. Neither one has anything to do with other. I'd vote for The Thing if the question was: Which remake was better?

Both are great but if I have to choose one it's gonna be Psycho.

I wouldn't choose between the two; they're nothing alike. And I don't have to choose. I own both.

I, for one, can't wait for a Cannibal Holocaust vs. Singin' in the Rain thread and see where people's loyalties lie.

Other than being horror movies, they're totally different, and both great movies IMHO. Polls needs a "like them both" option, no need to be absolute.

Oranges have a better flavor but you don't have to peel apples.

why do they have to be alike to have a poll? It's only asking what's the better movie, not a detailed comparison of each.

What's better - Terminator or Dirty Dancing?

Hitch is my favorite director, the choice is easy for me.
