To me, it means it distinguishes itself from Bad Will Hunting - and that's all I need to know.

I was just was in agreement with Nick in the fact that anyone would have such extreme reactions to this thread.

Once again I understand not liking a film, I just don't understand why anyone would think this film was garbage.

you shouldn't even try to understand, because any sane person would know the movie wasn't "garbage." those kind of comments I've had to learn to ignore.
